By getting Christians to look for a future fulfillment, Satan causes them to not realize who is the Antichrist and False Prophet, who he has empowered as the enemy to war against Messiah and His Church. This stands in contrast to the enemy’s deception of saying that most prophecy will be fulfilled during the last few years. These prophecy explanations hold to the historical view, meaning the prophecies of the Bible have historically been in the process of being fulfilled throughout the history of the Church, and will continue to be fulfilled until Jesus returns.
